Web Services (WSI) is an API layer built on top of the LearningServer application that allows external applications to maintain or retrieve data from the LearningServer database by consuming the various methods of the Web Service. This can be on a one time or recurring basis.

LearningServer includes Web Services support with each implementation, which enables tight data synchronization and integration with existing ERP, Learning Management, or HR systems.

We have prepared a WSI White Paper containing detailed description for of the supported Web Services that come bundled with every LearningServer. 

A Web Service is defined as a software system designed to support interoperable Machine to Machine interaction over a network. Web services are frequently just Web APIs that can be accessed over a network, such as the Internet, and executed on a remote system hosting the requested services. Using this variety of transport bindings, data integration with other systems may be easily accomplished in synchronous, asynchronous or scheduled modes.
